Christmas Newsletter 2010

Steve and Lynn have had a good year with many highlights. We finished off last year organizing a 20th Birthday celebration dinner for our church at which 180 people attended. With this and the usual christmas celebrations it was a busy time so in February we took a few days break with our dear friends Steve and Margaret Costello and headed down to the Gold Coast. We also joined them in September for a week exploring Australia in our Caravans. March saw us head off to England, America and Switzerland for a 10 week holiday which included 2 weddings and a christening.

It was so good to catch up with all our family and our dear and special friends and we thank you all for your wonderful and loving hospitality. Sorry to those we missed, and hopefully get to see you next time.

Steve's grandmother who was 102 died in November and it will be sad to not be able to see her next time we go home to England, but Steve did get to say goodbye to her in May and she is now at peaceboth continue to work for our church which keeps us very busy but is very rewarding, We both feel very blessed and thank God that we are in a season of time and life where we can do this. Five years ago our church took pocession of an old wharehouse and it has been a privilage to be part of a wonderful team that has seen it transformed into a community of people reaching out to the wider community. Our tennants now include a Threatre company, local family radio station and an organisation that helps young girls and woman with their needs when they suddlenly find themselves with unwanted pregancies. We also work with World Vision and support several mission groups one of these being an Orphanage, healing home and clinic in Non Phen, Cambodia. Steve and Charles our Pastor and a team went over in November for 2 weeks to see what else we as a church can do to help these people better their way of living.

They had a wonderful time and Steve has come back with Cambodia very much on his heart.

We are presently praying about what God would like us to do as Steve feels it is right for us both to return to help run an orphanage there. Please pray for us as we seek confirmation about this. Health wise we both are blessed that except for the minor aches and pains that come with maturity we both keep very well. I (Lynn) had a Basal Casa Noma removed from the top of my nose but that is healing well and the scarring is getting less each day.

2011 finds us off to explore Australia in April/June for 4 weeks in our Caravan again with our good friends Marge and Steve and then off to Singapore in October for a week to celebrate with our Church, that we used to attend there, their 100th years celebration. It is going to be a hugh reunion time of friendships and also a wonderful time to give Praise and Worship to God for his great church. We look forward to seeing some of you there.

Natalie and Nathan as they have matured and stepped out of the teens and into their 20's have become closer in their relationship as brother and sister which as parents is always good to see and experience.

Natalie still working as the manager of a Kitchenware shop but is ready to move on to something different. That will not be happening in the next year as her company is paying for her to do a Management course, which she realises will look good on her resume. She has done a lot of work on her apartment and it is looking lovely and she enjoys the indepdence it brings her. A couple of visits to Syndney this year to visit a good friend she has known since early school days in Singapore, has found her being a bridsmaid again in 2012.

Nathan has just finished his first year at uni and is looking forward to the summer break. His budding romance unfortunately ended in July, which has given him more time on his hands so he has joined a new band and has several gigs to keep him busy during the holidays. He is also working 2 days a week for his Sister at her shop and is hoping there might be more work over the holiday period as he is busy trying to save dollars for a trip to Japan early next year. He is moving on to a New Church which is larger in the Arts and Music Worship department.

Thats our news for now. Look forward to hearing from you all.
Have a wonderful Christmas and many blessings for the New Year.
God Bless Steve Lynn Nats and Nathan.xx
